The Berkery

Sweet treats await for your visit including fresh baguettes, scones, biscuits, muffins, quiche, coffee and more delicious treats that are baked fresh daily. Located just blocks from the Lake Charles scenic Shell Beach Drive, the fresh-inspired bakery is light, open and airy with chandeliers sparkling on the wall of windows, two areas for outdoor patio seating and a coffee bar.

Bayou Rum Distillery

It’s impossible to tell the story of south Louisiana without mentioning the massive sugar plantations that made the region so famous. So it’s no surprise that Louisiana Spirits, a distillery located in Lacassine and makers of Bayou Rum, owes a lot of its success to the famous Louisiana sugar cane that it grows on site.

The distillery has won 50 awards from tasting competitions in the country and grown to become the largest privately-owned rum distillery in the United States.

While at the distillery, you'll experience a tour, rum tasting and lunch.

Famous Foods

If you've ever taken a trip into BBQ country you know the best places are the ones that have some character. The ones that show their age and expertise by the well worn look that comes with time. Famous Foods is all that and more. They are one of the stops on the Boudin trail and have great BBQ. But the one thing you can't miss out on is the cracklins. Check out one of the latest Tripadvisor reviews

Cracklins and boudin heaven!

Can't decide which cracklins I love the most, crunchy or soft spicy! Everyone in the area has boudin but Famous Foods boudin stands out! It's spicy and delicious
